I already have a GVF Advanced VSAT Installation Certification, and I want to add the iDirect Certification. Do I have to take the hands on test again?

No. You only need to take the GVF 503i online course. You do not need to repeat the Hands On Skills Test (HOST) when upgrading your certification from Basic to Advanced, or from Avanced to Specialist. You need only complete the required online courses if you have completed the HOST before. (Note however that there are different specialized skills test requirements for marine VSAT certifications.)
